A new series taken in Rostrevor, Northern Ireland. This is known as Cloc Mor (Cloughmore), or also known as the 'Big Stone'. It is a huge syenite boulder perched high on a hilltop 1000 feet above the village of Rostrevor. According to legend, Finn Mc Cuil threw this rock from the Cooley Mountains at a Scottish adversary standing on Slieve Ban, after which Finn fell dead, onto the Cooley Mountains. The outline of his body is clearly visible from Rostrevor. The views from Cloc Mor are well worth the journey, it is nothing short of spectacular.
This is a new series taken with my gorgeous new camera, a Canon 50D. Expect more in this series. Comments & favs very welcome, of course! ALL IMAGES COPYRIGHT © CELINE HUGHES. MUST NOT BE USED IN ANY FORM. Comments
Ah, you sure know how to make a big deal out of a small thing. And for artist, it's a good thing. You can capture just a plain ol' rock and make it looks... grand. The background is so sharp that it makes me bleed. The clarity of the image is professional.
